I still aim to finish this project and to get it published. There is a place in the world for a cookbook that is filled with the work of famous comic book creators. Here is a sample of what has been created so far.
Time is one reason that this book is not finished. That and the fact that many artists, writers, and creators simply don't cook (much). Here are a couple of examples, taken from the foreword I cobbled together:
People representing comics creator and business powerhouse, Todd McFarlane, said in a return email, “Since Todd generally eats canned tomatoes and tuna. Not really recipe book worthy. I'll dig around try to find out if he has actually eaten food in the last decade and what it was.”
Gracious and humorous to a fault, author J. Michael Straczynski noted, “I don't cook. Anything. Seriously. The most I make is hard-boiled eggs. Everything else I order in. That's the one thing I have in common with my cat, we both wait for someone to bring us our food.”
Rest assured that more is in the oven, so to speak!
